Jorgensen, 92, died Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska.Mrs. Jorgensen was born June 22, 1916 in Holstein, Nebraska to Lloyd & Margaret (Holtze) Reed. She graduated from Bladen High School, Bladen, Nebraska, having taken Normal Training. She also attended Kearney State Teachers College for two years. She was a school teacher, serving many rural schools in Adams and Kearney counties. She married Wilbur B. Jorgensen in rural Adams county at the home of her parents in 1946. In 1949, she retired from teaching to begin a family. When her daughters were school age, she returned to the work force. She worked at the Hastings Regional Center in the Alcoholic Service, retiring from there after twenty years.
